Hello to my lovely readers,
Thank you so much for joining me here and welcome to my new and improved blog. It’s the same name, with a different look.
It feels as if it has been ages and I guess in a way it has been because one day in Blogland is like ten days. Nevertheless, here I am with a new design in tow and I’m absolutely giddy. May I just share the fact that I feel all grown-up now that I’m on WordPress.org? It is quite the task moving from Blogger to WordPress but I can already tell that it has opened up many new doors and I’m confident that I’ve made the right decision. So pull up a chair, get your beverage of choice, and make yourself at home…I have some things to share with you.
First off, you can expect to hear more from me. It wasn’t till I was confronted with the task of transferring my blog that I realized how much actual time I have to dedicate to writing. It may be that I’m getting more used to navigating these platforms or maybe it’s because the Lord has put a passion so deep in me for Him and His calling that it’s difficult for me to concentrate on anything else. I’ve decided it’s the latter.
Passion for your purpose
Have you experienced this? It’s this intense excitement knowing that you are doing the VERY thing you are called to do. I have a spiritual fervor like I’ve never had before. It is something that is unexplainable until it happens to you. The Holy Spirit is in your very bones, driving you forward, motivating you to keep going, and sending you confirmation that you are headed down the correct path. This passion the Lord has given me brings me incredible peace. It’s a peace that is found in nothing else but Him.
There are so many other Christian Bloggers who share in this passion for sharing the gospel and I thank God for each of them, but there are others out there sharing the gospel in different ways. One of which is beautiful Roxy from Salt and Glow.
I stumbled across Roxy’s amazing Instagram (@saltandglow) one day and I was absolutely amazed by her feed. Just by glancing at her page I could see her passion for spreading the gospel in a unique and compelling way. I was immediately sold. Sold for her product, sold for her cause, and sold for her heart.
Salt and Glow
Salt and Glow is a bath and body product line made from pure natural materials and comes with a message of hope for God’s girls. There is an abundance of items to choose from in her shop and honestly she had me at sea salt and Jesus. She has a video on her Instagram that shows how the salt is extracted for her products and it’s absolutely mesmerizing. Never have I wanted to soak in a tub so badly.
Oh but that is not all! 100% of her So Loved line profits go to help fund Roslin Orphanage in Kupang, Indonesia. I mean knock me over with a feather! God is just so good! After looking into her cause a bit more I could see that the Lord has given her a passion for the kids at Roslin Orphanage. This touched my heart in a way that brought tears to my eyes. You can read more about her cause here.
After reading about her cause I was reminded of this scripture…
“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.”
James 1:27
This calling to take care of the orphans and widows is not just for dear Roxy, it’s for us too! I thank the Lord above for helping me to meet Roxy and for introducing me to Roslin Orphanage. It’s not something I’m taking lightly. I asked Roxy a little about the orphanage and she was gracious enough to share this with us…
How were you led to the orphanage and what prompted you to start giving to them?
When I went on my first solo trip to Bali, Indonesia – God spoke to me during one of the mornings that I went to watch the sunrise. He showed me glimpses of the future and said next time I go on a holiday, I need to make it about giving back.
Upon returning home to Sydney, I began searching for organizations I could join as a volunteer but decided on Roslin Orphanage which is an independent orphanage run by a family of five that takes care of over a hundred children.
How has Salt & Glow specifically made an impact at the Orphanage?
As much as I would like to say our biggest impact has been of finance, it has been by just physically being there! Spending time with the children allows them to feel loved. It is our ultimate goal that through the profits – we can make a difference in the children’s lives.
How have you seen God show up for yourself and the Orphanage since starting this venture?
By myself as an individual or even as a business, it is not enough to support for the Orphanage to the degree I hope for. I have been immensely blessed with opportunities and friendships that have opened up doorways to either raise funds and/or raise awareness for this Orphanage. For example, through connecting with Milk and Honey Faith who has so graciously offered to help spread the word!
Roxy you are a mighty woman of God and I thank you! I am a person of my word and I’m sharing the link to her GoFund Me page so that if you feel led you can help Roslin Orphanage as well. Any and all donations help I’m sure. Please click here to donate.

Hi Natalie, I was drawn to this post because of the title, having just spent time writing an entire series on purpose. Roxy’s passion is so clear and I’m glad that you got to share her (and her cause) with us. I pray that the children at Roslin Orphanage will be blessed by her eagerness to give of her time and resources.
How very sweet of you to support Roxy by spreading the word!
