Are you crawling, or being carried?
Many times throughout God’s Word our Lord tells us He is with us, right beside us, even carrying us. Sometimes that feeling of closeness goes amiss and my hand stretches to find His. There is quietness where I once heard his voice and coldness where there was once warmth.
Have I let Him slip away?
There have been many times when I have felt like I was all alone. That somehow God had drifted away to assist someone who was more deserving of His help. Those thoughts led to bitterness.
Have you been there?
There have also been instances where I felt determined to finish something without any help. That somehow my task was too trivial for our God so I won’t bother Him with it.
Can you relate?
Those are fickle feelings friends and guess what? God knows how we feel better than anyone else. Even if it doesn’t feel like it, our Lord is ever present.
Emotions are fleeting where our God is a solid rock.
Have you ever read the book of Esther in the Bible? God is not mentioned once yet His power is evident throughout. He didn’t have to be seen or heard, He was present.
Today I am featuring Aimee Kollmansberger from Middle Mercies because her post sheds light on a subject we all need to hold fast to. Our Father carries us and Aimee discusses that very notion in her post “Being Carried in the Middle Years“. Please make sure you stop by and read her post before linking up.

“Emotions are fleeting where our God is a solid rock.” Yes and Amen!!! We have to trust the facts over our emotions, no matter how strong our emotions are. And the fact is, God is good. His promises are secure. And we are His.
