Embracing the Season.
We are making a list and checking it twice, or is that Santa? Sadly, we have become a society who puts the focus on presents instead of His presence. We rush to and fro hoping to check things off our list and really we are missing the whole point of Christmas. It’s day the earth was changed forever because God sent His one and only Son for us. Christmas is the celebration of the arrival of our Lord Jesus Christ. How can we ditch the overwhelm and truly embrace the season?
Here are some ways I’ve found that I can enhance joy this season and focus on the celebration.
1. Patience
I have found that if I am not intentional with my God time and if I don’t pace myself, my peace can easily turn into panic. I’ve decided to stop this season and let others go first. I’m willing to wait my turn and slow down in traffic because eventually I will get there. Rushing just might ruin my witness.

2. Set Good Goals
Pay a stranger a compliment and hold the door open for someone. Smile and say Merry Christmas to passersby. Give someone Godly encouragement. Goals don’t have to be big to be impactful.
3. Worship
It’s the one time of year where not only can we listen to Christmas music but songs about our Lord are playing on multiple radio stations. I say turn it up! Worship Him in grace and truth. Sing the songs out loud with your kids. Skip the ones about Frosty and Rudolph and sing unto our Lord.
Today I’m featuring Rachel’s post from Be Thee Inspired. Learn about more ways you

Be Blessed!

“Goals don’t have to be BIG to be IMPACTFUL.” Yes and Amen to that!
This is something I constantly remind myself and my family of.
There is a quote I read somewhere along these same lines. I wish I could remember it exactly, but it went something like this- everyone wants to change the world, but no one’s willing to do the small things to get there.
This is my goal this year. To make Jesus known through the small things.
Thanks for the feature this week! I am honored. 🙂
